I just finished a project for my wife as she prefers to play Morrowind without any of the expansions, and so I have a list of 250+ mods that will run with just vanilla Morrrowind loaded.

It certainly isn't the definitive list, nor is it complete, but it is substantial.

I also wonder if there is a similar list on the forums or if it would be worthwhile just to post this one....?

Anyone interested in seeing this list and should I post it?

Go Ahead, but be aware that some people will ask you for things that appear on the list.

I think it would be great for you to post it. There are people who - for one reason or another - are unable to play the expansions and have been looking for mods that are just for Morrowind.

Thank you for offering to share that.

A list like that would be very helpful.

If people want links, either they can go Search or we can help them sometimes .... but a list from which to start would be super.

If you can, please list both the Name of the mod and the Author (Creator) of the mod. That would help in any mod search.

I'll be happy to share it, but don't have the list of the modders, as it is just a INI file copy and paste. Still, I'm happy to post what I have.

The following is just a small list of the many mods that can be loaded and played with Vanilla Morrowind. I realize that there may be those out there who think that you must have the expansions loaded to get a great experience with Mods. Not so, as this diverse list should demonstrate.

Please note however, that not all of these mods are compatible with one another, even though it may appear that way because it is an INI file...Pick and choose the ones you like, but don't try loading all of these on at once!

My vanilla Morrowind Companions Hippolyta and Decius may be found on my page at Emma's site. They even include a work around for the lack of Companion Share in vanilla Morrowind. I hope they would be worthy of a place on your list, and even in your wife's game, perhaps).

While you're there, you might want to have a look at the Unofficial History of Companions Part I, which gives you a guide to vanilla Companion mods and early Tribunal ones (including descriptions of their main features) from many modders. There was some really amazing work then, even without the advanced features that the expansions made possible.
